An aspirant for the Owerri Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Mr. Chijioke Onyeneke, has promised to tackle unemployment, poor infrastructure and youth restiveness through people-oriented legislation and aggressive constituency development if elected in 2027.
Onyeneke, popularly known by the slogan, “Ceejay Is Okay,” said his ambition is driven by the need to restore effective representation, accountability and grassroots development to Owerri Federal Constituency.
Speaking in Abuja after obtaining his nomination form, the aspirant vowed to champion policies that would directly impact youths, women, traders, professionals and the elderly.
He identified job creation as a major priority, stressing that his representation would focus on supporting small businesses, promoting digital innovation, vocational training and youth empowerment programmes.
According to him, attracting federal projects to Owerri would also top his agenda, especially in the areas of road construction, electricity, healthcare, education and skills acquisition.
“Representation must go beyond promises. The people deserve leadership that delivers visible results and remains accessible to the grassroots,” he said.
Onyeneke further pledged to establish regular town hall and constituency engagement meetings to ensure that the needs and concerns of the people are adequately represented at the National Assembly.
He also promised scholarships, empowerment grants, healthcare support for vulnerable citizens, as well as programmes aimed at promoting peace, security and youth inclusion in governance.
The aspirant assured residents that he would work towards ensuring Owerri Federal Constituency attracts its fair share of federal opportunities and development projects.
Reaffirming his commitment to service, Onyeneke said the “Ceejay Is Okay” movement represents purposeful leadership, transparency and dedication to the welfare of Ndi Owerri.
